Brief description of work carried out –
A new building erected in Prince of Wales Road, Norwich to house the offices of the Farmers Union. George Cook and Sons have been responsible for the rendering to the external walls to provide a classical exterior. The ground floor areas have been rendered with a rusticated finish which includes a number of pilasters. The upper floors and tank room areas have been given a plain woodfloat finish and include string courses. G.R.C. mouldings produced in Cooks Cambridge workshop have been installed prior to the final coat of render and these included window architrave’s, window pediments, high level cornice and the entablature cornice above the rusticated section.
